A realization I have come to...

I hadn't planned on being the person who blogs everday, but came to the realization on something that I thought I would share. We all have many friends, some you talk to on a daily basis, some you talk to once a week, and some you are lucky to talk to once a month. With that being said, have you ever wondered who your "true" friends really are? I have been pondering this thought for quite some time, more specifically for about 2 years. To me a true friend is someone that will be there for you through everything and NOT judge. A true friend will be there to offer words of encouragement, or to tell you that you have lost your mind! Why is it that I feel as if I am being judged by the ones I consider my "true" friends? Perplexing I know! I am on a new journery with my family; a journey that Ricky will embark on, and a journey I myself will go on. A true friend should realize this and be supportive and encouraging, but I don't feel as if I am getting this from some. Some look at me and say this is just another one of her ideas that she will NOT follow through on, but have you know that I will follow through on this! I have spent hours upon hours helping my WONDERFUL hubby figure out exactly what he is passoniate about and what he wants to do with his life, so it got me thinking about myself. I have finally found something I enjoy doing but still need tons of practice on! My journey won't happen overnight, nor will it happen in the next few years, but I can promise, IT WILL HAPPEN! Practice makes perfect...and I am willing to spend a few years practicing! I just felt the need to share my thoughts for the day. I hope everyone is enjoying the BEAUTIFUL day! Take care
~XOXO

A New Journey...

My life, my journey, my blog! I am here to share with you whatever I feel! No seriously, things are changing for the better with my family! As we all know, OUR economy is just one big mess right now. My husband, Ricky, was laid off of work at the end of December; well December 30th to be exact. Happy New Year to your family from your previous employer (who shall remain nameless)! That was a blow to Ricky's ego. I just thank the good Lord above that it did not happen before Christmas. So with the layoff came a complete life style change. We have a precious 2 year old daughter, Piper Elizabeth, and she is so full of life and energetic. She LOVES being the center of attention...obviously she gets that from her daddy! Anyways, we had to pull her out of daycare, so now, my oh so sweet hubby is a stay at home daddy! That is right, "daddy daycare at your service". HAHAH....no, one child is enough for him to look after. She drives him insane! I am not saying daddy's can't be a stay at home daddy, but it's so much easier for the mommy to take on that role...we tend to be way more nurturing. Ricky has juggled looking for a job, being a daddy, and a maid for the past 3 months. It finally happened though....we came up with a spectacular plan that would benefit our family in the long run. Ricky is going to COLLEGE! Luckily for us, he was in the Marine Corp for 4 years, so he gets the Montgomery GI Bill...so with that and a part time job, we will be fine. He will be getting his degree in Homeland Security and Emergency Management. For those of you that think a Mall Cop is the job you get with that degree...get a life! School starts May 24th! So now that all the applications, etc. are taken care of, I can put him to work with a honey do list before school starts! 30 years old and going back to school....that just has all kinds of awesomeness written all over it!

Oh! I almost forgot to mention some even more great news. For those that know mine and Ricky's past 2 years, you know it has been anything but easy. So with that being said...we are renewing our vows on our 6 year anniversary (July 17, 2010). Always remember; If the love is strong enough, you can work through just about anything! (I am living proof)
